Same as after any surgery – pain around the wound site, muscle soreness etc etc.

No-one needs to have breast augmentation. Save your money for something REALLY important. Like paying your bills …

Pain just under the skin of my penis during and after sex.. help?

Question by hach: Pain just under the skin of my penis during and after sex.. help?
This only recently started happening, and i couldn’t have sex ever since.. I experienced a burning sensation just as i began and when i pulled back the foreskin to take a look, i found a red, scar-like thing (quite close to the tip) which seemed to be the origin of the pain.. It has been 5 days since it began, and the scar/scratch doesn’t seem to show any signs of healing.. Any idea what could be done about this? I always use condoms, and have stuck to the same brand for about 10 months now..

Do i need to see a doctor about this, and if yes, what kind of doctor? As in, a gynecologist or…?

Thanks!
I read somewhere that if i put some sort of antiseptic cream it will become better. Any suggestions?

Lower back pain and lower abdominal pain. Please help?

Question by ccathy: Lower back pain and lower abdominal pain. Please help?
I had my period a week ago and still have a lower abdominal pain on my right side. It felt like a period cramp, then I got my period. Now, it’s been a week after my period and I still have cramps. I also have lower back pain. When I bend down or move to a certain side, it hurts a lot!
I am fighting against bulimia. Could this be the cause?
Please help me find an answer. I have an appointment with my gynecologist in two months. Should I wait until then?

You could be right, but first you should really get checked out for appendicitis. That means ER without delay. It may have nothing to do with your cycle. Once you’ve done that, read on…

Zinc deficiency has been linked to eating disorders, might be worth thinking about that. Furthermore zinc is important in ovary function.

But be aware that deficiencies can take several weeks or longer to correct by supplementation, so give it time and don’t exceed RDAs without specific advice. Also look up natural sources of zinc, they may be better absorbed.

So yes, it could be related, but also because your hormone levels may be a bit discombobulated by your dietary situation.

Definitely worth asking for an ultrasound scan of your ovaries, in case you have cysts. Many possible causes if that is the case, but it’s suggested that talc is often found in cysts, and is also sometimes used in the manufacture of condoms, for what it’s worth.

Another possibility is endometriosis, which can mean a laproscopy to confirm. If this is the case it can often be helped by dietary means, so as you say, sorting out your dietary matters may hold the key to much of this.

Obviously this is the internet, so do your own research too, and don’t rely on Yahoo answers, but there should be enough to help you get started there. Try searching natural treatment of eating disorders.

Not out of the question either that you have a kidney stone, so another good reason to pop down to ER right away and not wait two months.

Good luck.

Desperate need of help! I can’t put a penis into my vagina without unbearable pain!?

Question by Maddie Briggs: Desperate need of help! I can’t put a penis into my vagina without unbearable pain!?
I lost my virginity nearly four years ago, had fine painless normal sex for a year or so until it all changed completely!
For nearly two years now, I haven’t been able to put a penis in my vagina because the pain is too much it makes me feel sick! I can’t even get it in half way, it hurts to put it in!
Sometimes my vagina just hurts when I am sexually aroused!
I have a slight discharge, which builds up around my vagina – according to swabs and smear tests it is not an infection!

I have been to see so many different doctors, STD clinics gynecologists and all tests come back clear and they all say I’ve got nothing wrong! I’ve even had an operation to remove my hymen ring as it was thought I could be too tight down there, but this didn’t work! I’ve been given creams, antibiotics, but no one knows what to do about it!
What is wrong with me?! There must be someone that knows how to help me?
I have had ultrasounds to check for cysts, or problems with my ovaries etc..

Pain in vigina, pelvis and back?

Question by Me: Pain in vigina, pelvis and back?
Please help, I had a swollen vigina a couple of days ago, but that got better and now I have pain in one side that is very uncomfortable, I cannot point out exactly where is the pain, whether it is inside the vigina or labila!!! I have alot of pain in the pelvis the same side and now in my lower back also the same side,,,
I don’t know if I had an infection (yeast infection maybe), although I do not have any of the common symptoms except the swelling. This swelling has occured 4 times now after my last 4 periods straight away. I went to see 2 doctors both gynecologists after the swelling has gone and they said they cannot see it and cannot therefore tell me what it might have been.

Please help, any suggestions? the swelling is now gone as I finished my period 3 days ago, but i have constant pain on one side in the vigina/labila, pelvis and lower back? I have never been sextually active and therefore clear of any STDs and such and is 25 years old.

Question by Bhoomi: Which specialist doctor to be consulted for sciatic nerve pain during menstrual cycle?
During my menstrual cycle, I face severe pain in in the region starting from lower back till foot (right side), pelvic area and also during urination. It pains only on the first day of the period. I had consulted gynecologist for this around 9 years back and it seemed to be normal scenario most of the time. Since then I had neglected it although I used to face this problem every time during period. Now I searched in google and this symptom seems to be because ‘sciatic endometriosis’. Since this is related to sciatic nerve, Should i consult Neurologist or gynecologist? If someone knows about such problem could you please give some details on the same. Thanks.

Has anyone tried Kati Basti to treat lower back pain and sciatica?

Question by Leyna: Has anyone tried Kati Basti to treat lower back pain and sciatica?
I have spondylolisthesis which is where one vertebra is overlapping another in my lower spine, and and I get a lot of pain and stiffness around the centre of the bottom part of my spine, pain around the sacrouiliac joint and sciatica. I read that Kati Basti was supposed to help – has anyone ever tried this or any other type of massage treatment for lower back pain? I have already seen two chiropractors and two physiotherapists, all for months at a time, and none of them have helped very much. Any advice would be appreciated!

lower back pain, I have suffered from it for the last ten years, the solutions are:

Walking, swimming, going to steam room or jacuzzi once a week to get heat. If you can move to a hot country and keep away from the cold you will be treated from it completely. The cold weather make it worse.

Is it normal to have minor pain and discomfort 4 weeks after an arthroscopy?

Question by Dory: Is it normal to have minor pain and discomfort 4 weeks after an arthroscopy?
I had keyhole surgery on my knee on the 8th of November. I had investigative surgery and some of my cartilage trimmed. I was given a 2 week sick note, but was told that if I needed an extra week I was to go to my GP and get a note for a 3rd week off. By the end of the second week I was still in pain and getting swelling. So my GP wrote me a sick note for another week. By the end of the third week I didn’t need to take pain killers anymore and I went back to work this week.

I am managing alright at work, but I’m getting minor pain and discomfort in the joint. I have a dull ache around the joint and every now and then I get a shooting pain starting from the knee and then goes down the leg. By the end of the day I feel stiff and very uncomfortable and I start limping, but when I get home and rest for a few hours the pain subsides. My job involves being on my feet for most of the day, but my colleges are very good and let me do some admin work if I start to get too uncomfortable.

I work in a hospital and I asked some physiotherapists about lingering pain. They said it depends on what has been done, but two weeks for instigative surgery is normal recovery time.

I just feel like a bit of a wimp and I should get on with things. But at the same time I worry that something might be wrong. Before I make an appointment with my doctor, I would like to ask if anyone else has had a similar experience. I don’t want to waste my doctor’s time.

Best answer:

Answer by Geoff,
I had this operation done 15 years ago, I went back to work after 2 weeks off as I was self employed.
I was in a lot of pain for over two months, mainly because my job as an engineer involved being on my feet all day and also up and down alot of stairs. If you have a job where you are sat at a desk, the pain will settle down alot quicker. I also used ‘DEEP FREEZE’ cold gel and applied it to my knee to ease the pain, This is available from all High Street Chemists like Lloyds Pharmacy.
I eventually had to have that knee replaced two years ago at the age of 56.
Try the Deep Freeze Gel, it’s brilliant.
