15yr old n have Endometriosis n having a bad time, Given depo and bleed con’t, need a Endo Gyno spec in Essex?

Question by busby1992: 15yr old n have Endometriosis n having a bad time, Given depo and bleed con’t, need a Endo Gyno spec in Essex?
I am 15yrs old and most defiantly have Endomtriosis, severe pain which makes me pass out and sick so I can’t even keep painkillers down, can not take the Pill as mother has had P.E. so recommended DEPO but have bleed continuously, now really worried what they can do. I don’t want a coil as I’m too young, I really would like anyone who could recommend a Gynecologist who specialises in endometriosis as my mother had this severely and had to have a hysterectomy by 26 yrs old without being able to have more children.

Desperate need of help! I can’t put a penis into my vagina without unbearable pain!?

Question by Maddie Briggs: Desperate need of help! I can’t put a penis into my vagina without unbearable pain!?
I lost my virginity nearly four years ago, had fine painless normal sex for a year or so until it all changed completely!
For nearly two years now, I haven’t been able to put a penis in my vagina because the pain is too much it makes me feel sick! I can’t even get it in half way, it hurts to put it in!
Sometimes my vagina just hurts when I am sexually aroused!
I have a slight discharge, which builds up around my vagina – according to swabs and smear tests it is not an infection!

I have been to see so many different doctors, STD clinics gynecologists and all tests come back clear and they all say I’ve got nothing wrong! I’ve even had an operation to remove my hymen ring as it was thought I could be too tight down there, but this didn’t work! I’ve been given creams, antibiotics, but no one knows what to do about it!
What is wrong with me?! There must be someone that knows how to help me?
I have had ultrasounds to check for cysts, or problems with my ovaries etc..

I need advice on the Mirena coil?

Question by sunmum: I need advice on the Mirena coil?
I am 35 years old, have 2 children & got the mirena coil fitted a month ago. Call it gut instinct but Im already feeling that the mirena is working against rather than with my body. The insertion was uncomfortable & I did faint, embarrassing! I didnt have too much bleeding following the insertion so was hoping all was going to be well, but in the last week or so I have had a couple of dizzy spells out of the blue, I have ongoing uncomfortable bloating, even though I have lost my appetite & am eating much less than before, I feel heavy & lethargic. I have had a few mood dips too. My husband says he is worried as he can see Im looking a bit peaky & tired & thinks I should just get it out. I have searched on the internet & see so many negative experiences which is probably not helping my judgement & I feel annoyed at myself that I didnt do more research before, I just listened to my gynecologist & friends who were happy with theirs. Does anyone who has the mirena have any advice for me, is it too soon to give up on it, or are these clear signs that the mirena is not going to be for me, in which case I may as well get it out rather than prolong the misery??

There are many varying opinions on the Mirena Coil. It is my professional opinion that if your “gut feeling” is that this device is not for you, you should see your OB/GYN and have it removed immediately.

“Complications associated with the use of an IUS are said to be “rare but possible, therefore women should be aware of all possible complications before choosing this method of birth control.
There is a risk of 0.003% of the puncture of the uterus during insertion of an IUS. Usually this complication is noticed by a gynecologist right away. Women should be aware that there is a possibility that an IUS could fell out of the uterus. Usually 7 out of a hundred women using this form of contraception experience the expulsion of an intrauterine device within the first year or the first month after insertion of an IUS . If a woman does not notice it she can become pregnant since she is fertile straight away after the expulsion”*.

Keep in mind that progestin levonorgestrel.is the active ingredient in the Mirena Coil. This is also the chemical used in the “Plan B” Pill (he Morning After Pill) .

Any chemical that interacts with your hormone levels can leave you drained, Dizzy and tired. progestin levonorgestrel can also cause depression and lower your libido. It would be advisable for you to see your GP/PCP & get a referral back to the OB/GYN that initially fitted the coil.

It seems to me that you are not so much looking for an answer but validation that you should have the coil removed.

I hope some of this information helped you. You can also go to the website for Mirena Coil. They have a site dedicated to Q& A regarding this product. (http://www.medic8.com/healthguide/articles/mirenaiud.html) without the brackets ;-) **

I need urgent help, girls please, could you answer my question, why my period hasn’t come back?

Question by Camelia: I need urgent help, girls please, could you answer my question, why my period hasn’t come back?
My doctor put me on the pill because of horrible period pain, but I had to stop taking it after 5 months, the side effects were a real problem for my body so the doctor told me to stop taking the pill anymore. I am 30 years old and have never taken contraceptives before; this was the first and last time; it has been now 7 months since i am no longer on the pill and my period still hasn’t come back, I have just a very light spotting which I cannot call period, please girls if any of you has experienced this, I just want my normal period to come back, it wasn’t light or heavy before being on the pill, it was normal flow, and I just want it back; since I have no period anymore, I feel headaches and very fainted with no strength in my body; I just want to know why my period stopped completely since I started the pill and why it hasn’t come back even now after 7 months from stopping taking the pill; I need an urgent response, what are these contraceptive pills doing to my body? Had I known, I would have never taken the pill from the beginning. In 4 days time I have an appointment with a gynecologist, I want an explanation from them.
Before taking the pills, I was just fine.

Maybe it is just the bill. When I came off the pill it took 5 months to get my periods back. And even then I was spotting each month. Like you described.

She says “we don’t need protection”?

Question by Simon A: She says “we don’t need protection”?
Me and my girlfriend are planning on having sex for the first time together in the next couple of days. I am a virgin, she isn’t, but she has only ever had 2 sexual partners previously, both over a year ago. We live in the UK.

She told me not to buy any condoms as she is on the pill and is “clean”, ie. does not have any STDs. I am pretty cautious, but she has period trouble and also visits a gynecologist fairly regularly for various reasons, so I am tending toward trusting that she knows this for sure as the docs would have picked this up by now?

She’d know if she had most STDs, certainly her gyno would, it’s basically AIDs I am thinking about…

What do you think? Should I insist on condoms? Talk to her a bit more about it? Or trust that her claim is justified?

Use protection. It is possible for a person to have an STD and not know it.
Respect yourself = Protect yourself.

Qn for women doctors – need advice?

Question by Caren: Qn for women doctors – need advice?
I am a 47 year old woman. Usually I have normal periods. For the last 11 days I have been bleeding. After 2 days it got so heavy I was weak. Now it is happening again. In fact the last time there were large clots. What can this be? A year ago, I had something a bit similar but not for this long. Got all checked out & gynaecologist checked all the tests & told me it was my age. My hormones also checked out and pap smear test was negative. Anyone any ideas? I’ve started taking iron pills but this seems abnormal. Help me please?
